Welcome to Wanderland!

 

This is Mai Vu speaking, your professional Wanderland tour guide. Let me introduce myself a little bit. I am a senior majoring in advertising and public relations at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a minor in Film Studies. 

 

I like to picture myself as a copywriter, a concept developer, or in general, a creative. My vision in the advertising realm is to create human-centric yet exceptional ideas which will generate an impact on the audience.

 

I call myself “the wanderer,” or “Tung Tang” in Vietnamese. I was born and raised in my beloved country, Vietnam. I decided to wander to the United States for college. I have studied at two different universities for my bachelor’s degree. Because of the pandemic, I wandered back to Vietnam. I wandered back to the United States to fulfill my degree and my dream of being a copywriter.

 

I have joined internships and competitions in the advertising and marketing field both in Vietnam and the United States. I have learned valuable skills and knowledge from all internships. To be fair, they have certainly shaped who I am and what I can do professionally. Furthermore, the student-run marketing competitions prepared me for the real world with real briefs from clients. I am a creative problem solver who can find an easy solution for the most complicated problems.

 

Then, I wandered even more and took a leap that changed my life forever. I joined a play where the members have inspired me to recognize so much potential. I fell in love with what they love. I realized I could be anyone, a copywriter, an actor, a rock band singer, whoever, whenever, and wherever.

 

I would love to continue my Tung Tang journey. I am eager to experience new and exciting opportunities to create for the people.
