I created a creative brief for the Nebraska Tourism Commission with a challenge to attract out-of-state travelers to come to Nebraska. My creative brief is recognized as one of the best in class.

Print Ad

Writing copy for advertising is about being creative, yet strategic and effective. This project taught me just that. I wrote and designed this print ad to advertise for the healthy AsparFlakes cereal.

With an aspiration to be a creative in this profession, creating copy and visuals for a series of stories and posts was amusing, yet challenging. I produced several mock-up stories and posts for Chewy to promote their new product.

From the creative brief I have developed for the Nebraska Tourism Commission, I wrote a radio commercial to generate awareness about Nebraska as a destination for young people. My radio spot was recognized as one of the best in class  

News Release

In the progress of composing this news release to inform that the University of Nebraska-Lincoln has been selected to join a college education pilot program, I have learned to write in a pyramid style and to write in a professional tone. My news release was recognized as the best one in class.

For the media pitch, I decided to pitch a photo story to tell the origin of Halloween to the journalist in Trendland magazine.

Blog posts are one of the many ways to get in touch with the target audience. In this blog, I announced the birth of the newborn snow leopard in the Omaha Zoo to connect and encourage people to visit the zoo.

In ADPR 283 Strategic Development, I have practiced research for an advertising and public relations campaign consisting of researching the client, the client’s competition, the product or service, and the target audience utilizing a wide variety of methods such as SWOT, social listening, interview, focus group, survey, and more. This is my final strategy pitch for my client of choice, Food Huggers.
