The poetry collection underlines the designer’s first menswear collection at Comme des Garcons in 2001. It is proved through time to be one of his most iconic, legendary, and sought-after collections among the archival fashion enthusiasts.
The designer collaborated with Levi’s, accentuating the brand’s most essential pieces such as jeans, denim jackets, and button-up shirts and altering them with printed typography of poems and phrases on the garments. The theme of the poems wanders from the realm of love to the haphazard words like “peanut butter.”
One of the poems reads:
“Your smile makes me happy
Your voice is a bird whispering
Your hands keep me warm
Your perfume charms me
Your lips are soft
You fulfill me.”
